Madhurima Tuli reacts on the controversy surrounding Ekta Kapoor’s ‘XXX: Uncensored 2’

ALT Balaji head honcho Ekta Kapoor got embroiled into controversy for her web series ‘XXX: Uncensored 2’. It was pointed out by Hindustani Bhau that Ekta has disrespected Indian Army with alleged obscenity in the show. In her recent panel discussion with Shobha De, Malini Agrawal, Gul Panag and Gurdeep Kohli, Ekta clarified that the moment she came to know that she had unintentionally hurt the sentiments of the Indian army, she pulled down the scene from the show. Ekta also said that people gave rape threats to her 71-year-old mother and she was shocked to see such kind of cyberbullying.

Many were in support of Ekta while some were against her. During an Instagram live session with Madhurima Tuli, we asked her views on the entire controversy. To which Madhurima said, “Honestly, it’s very sad actually. You can’t do cyberbullying. Rape threats and all, I’m completely against it. If anyone has a problem, you can just say ‘remove it’ or ask to apologise to people.”

On fake news and hate trolls, she further said, “It’s really sad when haters spread fake news and they really need to get a life. You are troubling other person’s peace of mind and you should understand what that person is going through. You cannot bully someone and it’s really wrong on your part and that means you have some mental disorder. And I would say that whoever does this, there should be some technique where they get instantly blocked. Hate trolls and all, I am totally against it.”

On the work front, Madhurima will be seen in a web series based on the surgical strike in Pakistan. She is playing a journalist.
