Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 1st Episode Review: Krishna, Sajjan Singh become Pratigya’s support to fight evils

If you’re a Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya fan who is looking for some maar-dhaad and Pratigya’s clashes with family, you’re going to be left surprised. Let me tell you, you’re pre-assumed notions about the show are not going to fall apart. Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 comes with a subtle tagline, ‘Think the unthinkable.’ The very first thought that comes to mind after watching the premiere is, ‘How did this parivartan’ happen? Well, you’ll not get the answers to these hows, whys, and whens, but you’ll definitely like the changes.

Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 begins after 9 years from where it ended, so naturally, everything has evolved. Pratigya (Pooja Gor) and Krishna (Arhaan Behll) are now parents of two adorably sincere kids. The episode begins with a flashback as Krishna recalls the beginning of his love story with Pratigya along the banks of Ganga. Little Garv believes Krishna’s filmy love story, but their daughter Kriti feels he is making up things. Kriti feels a goon-like man can never impress a woman, and Krishna sees little Pratigya in her.

In season 1, Pratigya was fighting battles within her family, this time it’s double as she is battling the ‘evil’ in society. Well, it is not Pratigya, but rather ‘Advocate Pratigya.’ Yes, Pratigya is now a well-known lawyer, who is a staunch abider of justice and truth. And her beliefs create trouble in her life. But, she makes sure that her professional issues don’t harm her family, especially her kids. So, when a goon tries to hurt Garv, she shows channels her inner Durga to teach him a lesson. She’s much stronger and bolder than before.

Krishna, who couldn’t speak without his gun before, is also a changed man now. But, don’t mess with his family, cause it triggers the wrong nerve, and you’ll have to deal with the badass Krishna again. However, Pratigya is always there to hold him and help him walk on the right path. Krishna’s changed personality due to his love for Pratigya is palpable, the Singh family’s ‘hridya parivartan’ towards Pragitya comes as a shock.

Sajjan Singh, who couldn’t stand Pratigya’s righteousness before, is now one of her biggest supporters. Yes! Sajjan Singh is all in awe of Pratigya and her way to live life. Not only a follower but now he is rooter of Pratigya’s goodness. When Krishna’s elder brother Satya opposes Pratigya’s profession, Sajjan Singh shuts him up. ‘Sabko Sudhar Ke Rakh di. Log isko Sajjan Singh Ki Bhuriya nahi, humko Pratigya ke sassur kehte hai,” these dialogues from Sajjan Singh make you believe people do change. While everyone is in support of Pratigya, only Satya feels she is trying to trap everyone. He keeps his distance from Pratigya, but his dislike for her creates trouble for her.

The episode also has some cute moments between Krishna and his ‘Babu’ Pratigya. Yes, after 9 years also, Krishna is still head-over-heels for her and can move mountains for her. Sajjan Singh is also seen showing his ‘loverboy’ avatar, and it’s beautiful to see oldies romancing onscreen.

Amid all the family drama, you also see a glimpse of Pratigya taking over a tough court case and triumphing over it like no one else. When questioned about her Mafia family by the media, Pratigya makes a solemn promise, which might turn into bigger troubles in the future. Why do we say that?

Well, at the end of the episode, viewers already get to see trouble knocking on Pragtiya and Krishna’s doors due to Garv. Now, it would be interesting to see, if Pratigya will choose her principles or her motherly love for kids?

All in all, the first episode of Mann Kee Awaaaz Pratigya 2 takes us through the good changes in Pratigya’s family life. But, the road to her troubles with society has just begun. It would be interesting to see how fights against the deep-rooted prejudices in the society.
