EXCLUSIVE: Mannara Chopra on her kiss controversy, says, ‘Salman sir said you should not be bothered about such events’

Mannara Chopra is one of the most talked-about celebrities for multiple reasons. She was a part of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 17. The actress didn’t win the show, but she won many hearts. Recently, Mannara joined Bollywood Bubble for a candid conversation and opened up about her journey, friendships, cousins Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, kiss controversy and a lot more.

Mannara Chopra breaks silence on her kiss controversy

Speaking of the latter, before Mannara entered the Bigg Boss house, she got mired in a controversy. For the uninitiated, during a promotional event of her Telugu film ‘Thiragabadara Saami’, director AS Ravi Kumar kissed her on the cheek. The video went viral and many criticised him for his actions. Salman Khan had also spoken about the controversy while introducing her on the stage.

So when asked her about it, Mannara told us, “Woh bohot bada hogaya. Maine toh aake dekha woh video bhi dala hua online, Salman sir wala. Mein bilkul opposite hoon apne real life ki personality se, joh aapne Bigg Boss mein dekhi hai. But yes, Salman sir said that you should not be bothered about such events. I never knew it will get viral like that. Mujhe ekdum laga ‘what was this?’. But it’s just that, for him I’m like a daughter, I’m like a sister. And yes, that’s all about it.”

Thiragabadara Saami is slated to release on 23^rd February 2024. On the other hand, Mannara and Abhishek Kumar recently starred together in the music video ‘Saanware’.
