Munawar Faruqui on social media negativity

Talking about this, the comedian told News18, “Any sort of entertainment keeps you away from the negativity. But you always sign up when you decide to get entertained. Today, the internet is so accessible that it has become very difficult to monitor what we want to watch. Maybe you find something on your (social media) feed, that you do not even want to watch. But yes, if you do not want to watch it, maybe somebody else is watching.”

“I think any sort of entertainment aims to keep people away from negativity. It is not meant to attract negativity. That’s why we are also playing cricket – come, play, enjoy and support your team. It is not important to abuse the team who is playing against you. Use your energy to support your team. I think, if people start to follow this, it will be good, for all sorts of entertainment,” Faruqui added.
