‘Naagin 4’: The original Naagin Sayantani Ghosh to be back in this Ekta Kapoor show

There are some actors who literally end up owning the characters they play on-screen. Actress Sayantani Ghosh has featured in several hits shows, but her portrayal of a shape-shifting snake in 2007 soap ‘Naaginn’ is still remembered by her fans. In fact, she was the first actress to play a snake on the small screen.

The latest reports doing the rounds suggest that Sayantani is all set to return to the latest instalment of this hit Ekta Kapoor show. Yes, as per a report in Bombay Times, Sayantani will feature in ‘Naagin 4‘ alongside Nia Sharma.

In ‘Naagin 4’, the actress won’t be reprising her role of Amrita (from ‘Naaginn’) instead she will be playing a shapeshifter in it. Talking about Ghosh’s return a source told the daily, “Sayantani is known as the original naagin of TV. Her inclusion in the fourth season will be value addition. She will play the third naagin, a character that’s crucial to the storyline. She is now adjusting her dates, as she is also shooting for a daily soap.”

The reports also claim that Ghosh’s role will be more of an antagonist in ‘Naagin 4’. The dusky beauty is currently seen playing Dr Anjali in ‘Sanjivani 2’.

Apparently Ankita Lokhande or Jasmin Bhasin might be playing the lead in ‘Naagin 4’. And while Nia Sharma is also a part of the show but she won’t be playing a naagin.

Coming back to Sayantani’s return in ‘Naagin 4’, the makers of the show are yet to make an official announcement regarding the same. So until then all we can do now is wait and watch.
