After Sharad Malhotra, his ‘Naagin 5’ co-star Aakash Talwar and director Ranjan Singh test positive for Covid-19

After ‘Naagin 5’ actor Sharad Malhotra, now his co-actor Aakash Talwar and director Ranjan Singh have tested positive for Covid-19. Sharad plays the lead role of Veer in the show ‘Naagin 5’ and he is currently under home quarantine, but the virus has taken over others from the set as well.

Sharad’s wife Ripci Bhatia has tested negative for the virus as well as Sharad’s other lead actors like Surbhi Chandna and Mohit Segal.

But, unfortunately, Sharad’s co-star Aakash Talwar who plays his brother and ‘Naagin 5’ director Ranjan Singh, they have tested positive for Covid-19 according to reports by Bombay Times.

Aakash told the daily, “My symptoms are mild, and I have been home quarantined. My wife has also undergone the test and her reports are awaited. I would request all those who have come in contact with me over the past few days to undergo the test.”

Ranjan added, “Since the director works in close proximity with actors, I isolated myself even before my test reports came in. I am now getting my wife and two children tested.”

He also revealed that his creative team is working overtime to bend the story to accommodate Sharad’s absence. Ranjan shares, “The shoot was halted for four days. We don’t have a bank (of episodes), and now, the team will have to change the storyline, too. I will virtually guide my assistants during the shoot, as soon as the new story is in place.”

Well, we wish the team a speedy recovery and hope that they return to sets soon.
