Nakuul Mehta was not the first choice for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2?

Nakuul Mehta is one of the most loved actors on television and he is currently winning hearts as Ram Kapoor on the show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 in which he stars opposite Disha Parmar. But did you know that Nakuul Mehta was not the first choice as Ram Kapoor for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2.

As per a report by Bollywood Life, the Ishaqbaaz actor was not on Ekta Kapoor’s list when it came to casting Ram Kapoor. Ekta Kapoor was actually planning on casting Iqbal Khan who was the first choice for the role. However, it did not work out as the actor had revealed in a recent interview that he was in talks for Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2, but there were budget issues so things did not work out, “Molkki and Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 did not happen because of budget.”

Further elaborating Iqbal said that he was asked to come on a lower budget, “Because of viewership dropping, the budgets of TV have gone down. This is why they look for actors who can come on a lesser budget. It doesn’t disappoint me anymore. I just ask them clearly if they have the budget or not. You can manage even if it’s 80 % but sometimes it’s even below that.”

As per a report by Hindustan Times, Iqbal said, “If you are a TV star and there’s an actor who has done one Bollywood film or a few small characters in films, the latter gets paid more. That is something I don’t understand. It has happened to me a lot. I don’t know what the math is.”

Meanwhile, Nakuul Mehta is much loved by the fans as Ram Kapoor and the show has become quite the fan favourite.
