The actor revealed that he has sometimes failed in auditions and not bagged the parts he wanted.
Nakuul told Bollywood Bubble, “I still get them. I still audition for parts and I still sometimes don’t get them. There is not a reason. So you may not be the only person who can play that part. There might be someone else for the makers who might suit that part better and fair. Absolutely fair. So it is not that I dont audition or parts, I sometimes don’t get them and I really want to do it.”
The Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 actor further added, “So it happens but then you take it in your stride and say that the parts you are doing right now is having a thousand other people who want to do that part. So you take solace in that and say that I am going to do my best here. Rejection is a part of our life. You have chosen to be in an industry where you will have more rejections than yeses. If you are going to be dejected by that, it is the wrong place to be.”

Entering showbiz comes with a disclaimer that you will have to face a plethora of rejections. Some strive through, others get dejected and stay back. So when we asked Nakuul, how did he face rejections 10 years back, he said, “I think he found himself. He found his way. Initially, it was hard and then you dont have a support system, you found yourself. It is hard at every point in life. It is not easy even now, there are parts I really want to do, they dont happen and someone else does it. The difference is I don’t feel bad about it anymore because I realized you’re meant to do certain things which will only happen with you, those are your opportunities to go out and do your best. When doesn’t happen there might be someone else better suited for it. I might be better suited for what I am doing right now.”
