Actress Shruti Sharma who is best known for shows like ‘Gathbandhan’, ‘Ye Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka’ and ‘Nazar 2’ is currently winning hearts as Chamcham in her on-going show ‘Namak Issk Ka’. She spoke at length about the plot of the show and how it sends out a message to all the audiences.
While talking about the show and her character Chamcham, Shruti explains, “The show is based on the story of a girl who is considered derogatory. Just because she is a local dancer, that does not mean that she cannot be someone’s wife or have a normal family”
She further adds, “Just because she is a local village dancer, the people in the village leave no stone unturned to assassinate her character but on the contrary, if it was an international artist performing on a huge stage and in a huge grand function, people there would stand up and give her an ovation. So the talent is the same, but the medium does not give anybody the chance to point fingers at anyone’s character”.
