‘Indian Idol 12’: Neha Kakkar reveals struggling with social anxiety attacks while performing on stage-watch video

Neha Kakkar is one of the judges of ‘Indian Idol 12’ along with Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani. During one of the auditions, a participant named Anushka Banerjee revealed that she has often faced social anxiety while performing and had to return home because of it.

It so happened that when Neha asked if her mother has come, to which she said, “My parents had taken a resolution this year that unless and until I make it to the top 12, they will not come to Mumbai.” Then she opened up about her social anxiety. Neha extended support for the contestant and also revealed that she too has the same issue.

She said, “I have the same problem. The moment I come on stage, my heart rate increases and shivering starts.” After hearing Neha’s story and getting support from all three judges, Anushka gained confidence and she started singing after having some water. She sang the song ‘Chupke Se’ from ‘Saathiya’ but couldn’t complete the song.
