Nia Sharma takes a jibe at Indians obsessed with fair-skinned brides

Since few days there has been outrage among the people in the USA after the brutal killing of George Floyd by the police. People have come on the streets to protest against racism. They have started a movement ‘Black Lives Movement’. Following the bandwagon, other countries including India also supported the movement.

TV celeb Nia Sharma took to her Instagram handle to take a jibe at the Indians who are obsessed with fair-skinned brides. She shared a post of another user who wrote, “black lives matter par bahu toh gori hi chahiye hame”. Nia captioned it, “Paradoxically Perfect!”

Nia is very outspoken and whenever she sees anything wrong happening in society, she voices her opinion. She is not a hypocrite like other celebs who raise their voice for the movement and then endorse fairness skin products. Recently, she posted two pictures-one without make-up and the other wearing it. Sharing both the pics, she wrote, “I’m happy with both the faces!”.

Many Bollywood celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Disha Patani and others condemned the brutal killing of George Floyd but they were called out by netizens for their hypocrisy of supporting the movement and also promoting fairness skin brands.

Talking about Nia, she was last seen in ‘Naagin 4’ but due to the lockdown, the shoot was stalled. There were reports that it will go off air but Ekta Kapoor has clarified that ‘Naagin 4’ will have a proper ending and then ‘Naagin 5’ will roll.
