Nikhil Patel releases an official statement after estranged wife Dalljiet Kaur takes legal step against him

Over the last several weeks, the marital problems of the former couple Dalljiet Kaur and her estranged husband Nikhil Patel have been making the headlines daily. From the businessman claiming they were never legally married to the actress accusing him of an extramarital affair, there are several claims and counterclaims being made. And now there’s a new development.

Nikhil Patel on Dalljiet Kaur taking legal steps against him

Days after Dalljiet Kaur revealed she’d taken legal measures to ensure her and her son’s safety, Nikhil Patel has now released an official statement. The statement released by the businessman’s team reads, “The court orders circulating to the media are orders which she obtained prior to Nikhil’s lawyers going to court and giving his side of the story.” It continued, “The matter is currently in court and being handled by Nikhil’s legal team. Dalljiet and Nikhil ended their brief relationship in January of this year when Dalljiet and her son moved back to India, so it is not possible for Nikhil to evict her as the two have not even lived together for the past half a year.”

The statement further read, “Regarding her personal property and belongings, these had been taken to a safe storage facility and Nikhil’s lawyers have given all the details to Dalljiet’s lawyers so that she can arrange to collect them anytime when she’s back in Kenya, or even have someone collect on her behalf. As Nikhil has previously stated, he wishes Dalljiet all the best and hopes that she finds happiness.”

It continued, “As legal matters continue to be finalised in court, Nikhil will not be dragged into any publicity stunts. As much as the public enjoys reading these dramatic media stories, Nikhil recognises that engaging Dalljiet and responding each time she shares details of their past brief relationship and ongoing case, is not helpful in enabling him and his family to move forward in a positive manner. Nikhil hopes that Dalljiet also comes to recognise this and chooses to focus on building her own future rather than living in the past that the two briefly had shared. Nikhil says he will continue to live a very separate and distinctly distant life away from Dalljiet and the potential media stories.”

Dalljiet tied the knot with Nikhil in 2023 in India. She was earlier married to television actor and Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shalin Bhanot. The duo divorced in 2015.
