Nisha Rawal slaps a case of domestic violence on Karan Mehra; claims he was having an extramarital affair

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai actor Karan Mehra was arrested last night following a complaint lodged against him by his wife Nisha Rawal. The actress has accused her husband of physically assaulting her. Following her complaint, Karan was taken into custody by the Mumbai police. He was granted bail today. Now finally breaking her silence on the entire incident, Nisha has come forward and revealed that she has filed a case of domestic violence against Karan. She even made a shocking revelation about Karan having an extramarital affair.

Speaking to Bombay Times, Nisha said, “One of the charges filed by me against him is of domestic violence. I hadn’t spoken about it for so many years as I understand that for an actor his career and image are of utmost importance. This is definitely about Karan having an extramarital affair, me trying to work on the marriage, him not even taking responsibility for the child and constant abuse over the years, which I have never spoken about. I have evidence to authenticate my claim.”

Revealing why she didn’t raise this matter earlier, the actress said that she still loves her husband and hoped to sort the issue. But seeing how Karan’s behaviour never changed, she decided to speak the truth and stand up for herself and all the women who are suffering silently.

The actress went on to share that when she came to know about his affair with a woman she first tried to talk to him and understand the issue. She even told him that if he continues to behave like this then they should better part ways. Karan even agreed to it. “I told him that let’s settle it amicably and agree on an X amount. I made my resume, circulated it and started asking for a job for a month. I will do any work to support my child,” Nisha told the daily.
