Pooja Gor is playing Raveena Sahni, who is part of the operational team in ‘Shrikant Bashir’. The show has started streaming on SonyLIV from today. We had an interaction with Pooja where she spoke about her role, the series, the training she went through for her role and more.
Pooja said, “This is the first time ever that I am getting to play something as exciting and challenging as Raveena as a part of a special operational team. A lot of preparation went into this. We being part of the operational team and being officers, we have to be at your fittest best. There is a lot of detailing and technicalities that go into practically and technically. So that was the major part of the preparation to know your subject and job. We had a fabulous backend team, crew, from the writers to the makers. We had gun training, we met ex-army and intelligence officers, had conversations with them as to how it was being on the field, how it was being part of such operation. Although, the universe that we have created is inspired by how the real situations are. It is essentially a fictionalised version of what the reality is. The show is entertaining and blockbuster because it has action, emotions, humour. It has everything.”

Talking about the training she went through, Pooja said, “In such kind of shows, you have to get these little things right otherwise it doesn’t look authentic and just to make sure, it looks authentic we did get gun training beforehand as to how to hold a gun, fire, etc. Also, as we are officers on the field, so how to salute, how to speak, body language, we did all of that. When it comes to being at your fittest best, we have to take it up a notch just to be our best.”
