Pratyusha Banerjee’s father reveals Sidharth Shukla kept in touch and sent financial help during lockdown

The nation is still in mourning after the shocking and tragic demise of television star Sidharth Shukla. It was heartbreaking when the news got out and the fans are still devastated. Sidharth Shukla was seen in the show Balika Vadhu with Pratyusha Banerjee and during that time, the duo was much loved by the audience. Pratyusha Banerjee passed away in 2016 and ever since Sidharth had been keeping a check with her family in case they needed anything.

Shankar Banerjee, Pratyusha’s father, revealed in a recent interview that he considered Sidharth Shukla his son. Remembering Sidharth in an interview with Aaj Tak, Shankar said, “After Pratyusha’s death, many people talked about the relationship between Sidharth and my daughter, because of which Sidharth had stopped coming home. He often asked me in messages on WhatsApp.”

Pratyusha’s father also said that Sidharth had sent him financial help during the lockdown, “During this lockdown, he used to constantly message me. I got his last message a couple of months ago. He used to ask in the message ‘Uncle, aunty do you need help?’, ‘Are you guys fine?’, ‘Can I help in any way?’ He had forcibly sent ₹ 20,000.”

Sidharth started out his career as a model and gradually made it to television. He made his acting debut in the 2008 show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. Shukla was last seen in the web series Broken But Beautiful 3.
