‘Daayan’ fame Priyaa Bathija to get divorced from husband DJ Kawaljeet by June

In 2019, there were reports that television actress Priyaa Bathija was going through a rough patch in her married life. The ‘Daayan’ actress got hitched to DJ Kawaljeet Singh in 2017 and they were reportedly living separately. In the same year, Bombay Times reported, “Problems started cropping up six months after their marriage. They tried counseling, but that didn’t help. Kawaljeet even shifted to Mumbai for a few months to resolve their differences, but it couldn’t fix things. They started fighting over petty issues, and it was best to live separately.”

Now, as per a report in SpotboyE, Priyaa said that they will be divorced soon. She told the portal, “Haan, June tak divorce mil jayega. It is better that my ordeal ends soon. It’s time now that I focus only on my career and family.” Earlier, she had accused Kawaljeet of domestic violence and said that he never took their relationship seriously. Back then, she had also filed a complaint against her husband at the Oshiwara Police station.

Priyaa Bathija and Kawaljeet were very much in love with each other and they often shared pictures of their vacations and spending time with friends.

For the unversed, Priyaa was earlier married to ‘Kasturi’ actor Jatin Shah. They got divorced in 2011. In 2015, Jatin tied the knot with actress Aparna Singh.

Priyaa Bathija appeared in shows like ‘Khwaish’, ‘Kasamh Se’, ‘Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo’, ‘Ek Boond Ishq’, and ‘Suryaputra Karn’ among others.
