Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar left everyone surprised when they confessed their love for each other on Bigg Boss 14. The singer proposed marriage to the actress, and she said a ‘Yes.’ Ever since then, fans have been waiting for ‘DisHul ki Shaadi.’ While the two are set to tie the knot soon, they’re enjoying every moment together. Today, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar are celebrating Gudi Padwa together. Yes!
On the onset of the auspicious, Gudi Padwa (Marathi New Year), Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar revealed how they’re celebrating the festival first time together. Yes, it is the first time, Rahul and Disha are celebrating Gudi Padwa as a couple after admitting love on national TV. In a chat with the Times of India, Rahul reminisced Gudi Padwa as a ‘homely affair’ with celebrations with family.
The singer said that Gudi Padwa is all about waking up super early in the morning, dressing up, performing the puja, hoisting the Gudi at home, and relishing lots of yummy puranpolis. The Bigg Boss 14 runner-up said that the ‘best part’ of Gudi Padwa for him are puranpolis as his mom makes some super delicious ones.
With the ongoing COVID pandemic, Rahul agrees that the mood of the festival is sombre this year. However, Gudi Padwa is usually a low-key affair, so Rahul feels it wouldn’t affect the celebrations. Celebrating it with his ladylove for the first time, Rahul said, “With Disha by my side, Gudi Padwa is even more special this year. Being a sardarni, this was a new experience for her.”
Disha Parmar for the occasion of Gudi Padwa has dolled up in a traditional Maharashtrian saree, and Rahul cannot stop adoring her. The saree was gifted to Disha by Rahul’s mother, that is her soon-to-be mother-in-law. Disha has lived in Mumbai for the past 8 years, so she is aware of the festival, but has never celebrated it before.
