Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21 at the age of 58. Political leaders to celebrities have expressed their condolence on his shocking demise. The late comedian’s prayer meet will now be held in Mumbai and his wife will fly down to the city for it.
The late comedian’s family will be holding his prayer meet on 25 September in Mumbai. Raju’s wife is expected to be flying out to Mumbai mostly by Saturday. The prayer meet will be held at ISCKON JUHU from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm,
As reported by ETimes, Raju’s wife felt that since Raju Srivastava operated from Mumbai, it will be only fitting to hold the meet in Mumbai. This would enable his colleagues and well-wishers to pay their last respect. There was a long discussion about this in the family. The exact details will be announced by Srivastava’s family by tonight.
The ace comedian had been on life support for over 40 days after he was admitted to AIIMS on August 10 following a heart attack. He passed away leaving his family and fans heartbroken. The funeral of Raju Srivastava took place at Delhi’s Nigam Bodh Ghat which is located on the banks of the Yamuna river on Thursday morning. His son Ayushman had performed the final rites.

The late comedian was very popular among the masses. He participated in the shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Cirkus, and The Kapil Sharma Show among others.
Raju Srivastava also made a foray into politics in 2014 from the Samajwadi Party, where he was named the Lok Sabha candidate from Kanpur. He later joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).
He is survived by wife Shikha Srivastav and children Antara and Ayushman.
