Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor Ram Kapoor recently lost his father Anil Kapoor on April 12. Anil was a very successful businessman and he left for the heavenly adobe after a long battle with cancer. Anil was 74-years-old and he was paid a very lovely tribute by the dairy giant Amul. Ram was all heart for Amul’s special tribute and he took to his social media handles to share it.
According to a report by The Hindu, Anil had a long association with Amul that began in 1998. Verghese Kurien is said to have requested Kapoor to re-energise Amulya which was a dairy whitener and who was facing stiff competition from Nestle’s Every Day. The report also said that it was during his time that Amul’s catchy tag line Amul: The Taste of India was invented.
In the tribute, Ram’s father is seen sitting with the Amul girl with notepads in their hands. The hoarding read, “You will always be part of our Family. Anil (Billy) Kapoor [1947 – 2021].” Sharing the ad on his Instagram handle, Ram wrote, “Truly speechless at the tribute that Amul has made for my father ? You were a true legend dad. I miss you so much. Rest in peace.(sic)”
