Rashami Desai refutes rumours of Vikas Gupta being the reason behind her bagging ‘Naagin 4’

Rashami Desai was amongst the top 4 contenders in ‘Bigg Boss 13’ and shortly, she was seen in ‘Naagin 4’ where she played the role of Shalaka. However, her name recently made headlines yet again after Aly Goni accused Vikas Gupta of taking away opportunities from others and giving it to his own friends. He also mentioned about Vikas badmouthing Aly and Jasmin’s relationship. While Vikas denied the allegations, rumours have been rife that Aly hinted at Rashami being roped in for ‘Naagin 4’ after Jasmin Bhasin’s exit from the show.

ETimes quoted a source saying that Vikas was responsible for Jasmin’s exit from the show as well. However, Rashami denied all the rumours to the publication and revealed that her bagging ‘Naagin 4’ had nothing to do with Vikas Gupta. “My landing the role of Shalakha had nothing to do with Vikas Gupta. It was a decision completely taken by the channel and production house. I don’t know from where such rumours have emerged. Vikas is a friend and that’s why I am fond of him and no other reason.”

‘Naagin 4’ was pulled off air midways due to the lockdown and ‘Naagin 5’ with Surbhi Chandna and Sharad Malhotra preceded it. Rashami, in the meanwhile, is looking out for good projects and is in no hurry. The actress gets regularly spotted by the paps and continues to keep her fans updated with her posts on social media.
