Rashami Desai opens up on her last conversation with good friend Disha Salian

Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian died on June 8. Exact seven days later Sushant allegedly died by suicide at his Bandra residence. Ever since then, rumours of a link between both these deaths are doing the rounds of the social media. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing all the possible angle to see if there’s actually any link between these two death cases. Apart from Sushant, Disha had also worked with several small screen actors.

Television actress Rashami Desai, who happens to be Disha’s good friend, was devastated by the news of her tragic death. Rashami recently opened up about her equation with Disha and the last conversation they had just a day before her death.

Reportedly, Disha Salian died by suicide on June 8 after jumping off a 14-floor high-rise building in Mumbai. Reportedly, Disha and her boyfriend Rohan Rai attended a party on June 8 following which she allegedly committed suicide.

Now talking about their phone call on June 7, Rashami told Republic TV, “On June 7, when I spoke to her (Disha), we were planning a trip to Shimla in October. One of my very close friend’s birthday party was there so we were planning the Shimla trip, so then we said we should meet and talk. Eventually, we had made some plans to meet later but then the next day I got the sad news.”

Rashami also shared that she had no idea about the June 8 party. Speaking about why she wasn’t in touch with Disha for several months, Rashami said, “I think Disha was someone who was very well known in the industry, she has managed many big names. You should ask them what kind of person she was. She was a doll, she was very beautiful and a pure soul and I think the family is also not very comfortable talking about it. I have no idea about the 8th June party. I am being honest, and I was not in touch with her for 7-8 months.”

The actress said that since she was locked in ‘Bigg Boss 13’ house after which lockdown followed, hence she wasn’t able to be in touch with Disha for a long time.

After Disha’s death, Rashami had shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram handle. Expressing her shock and sorrow, Rashami had written “I still cannot believe that it was your birthday a few days ago. I still can’t believe that we attended a zoom call party. I can’t believe that you posted one of your favourite pictures with your favorite posture and captioned, ‘You are your own choice #makeawisechoice. And what made you choose this? You left all your loved ones, especially your parents, your friends, and the workplace you loved. I have always known you as a strong and stable personality. Where ever you are, you will always be in my prayers Disha.”

The ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant, however, refused to comment on Disha’s boyfriend Rohan Rai in her latest interview.
