It is no secret that Nia Sharma and Ravi Dubey were not the best of friends when they began filming for Jamai Raja in 2014. Nia had said in an earlier interview that they two could not stand each other on sets. But, their chemistry on screen was undeniable and so they were stuck with each other in a way. But, they have worked out their differences and now are on great terms. Ravi Dubey sat down for an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble and opened up about his fallout with Nia Sharma back then. The Jamai 2.0 actor revealed that he did not let it show on-screen that he was not on talking terms with Nia and neither did Sharma. Ravi Dubey also revealed that he is very fond of Nia Sharma now and her personality.
Ravi told Bollywood Bubble, “I dont know, it’s just by the virtue of working together for all these years and both me and Nia handled that grey area in our relationship with a lot of grace and lot of professionalism. Never showed on-screen that we weren’t necessarily talking to each other. I think it was largely to do with how we would approach work. I am highly rehearsal obsessed but Nia is a very spontaneous actor and that works in her favour beautifully. I dont know how that friction truly started I dont have a clear memory of it but I am guessing this would be the reason.”
Ravi only had all things kind to say about Nia as he praised her for being this carefree bubbly girl who is completely uninhibited, “Now I think Nia is the one person in the industry that I am the fondest of and I think she has this candid uninhibited nature which is very rare. People mostly try to project something which is a more likeable version of themselves, the best thing about Nia is that she doesn’t care. Truly rare in that nature so I really appreciate her for that. We’re great friends now.”
