Remo Dsouza’s wife Lizelle DISMISSES reports of receiving death threats; says, “There’s nothing to worry about”

Recent reports indicated that comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, and choreographer-director Remo D’Souza had allegedly received death threats via email from Pakistan. This news raised alarms among fans and the media, but the situation appears to be more nuanced.

Remo D’Souza’s wife Lizelle D’souza clarifies death threats

Lizelle D’Souza, Remo’s wife, clarified that the emails received by their family were not death threats. She explained to Hindustan Times, “No, it’s false, nothing as such. Even we read it (in the media). We got spam emails on the company email ID regarding something else, for which we informed the cops. The cyber department is looking into it, and they also feel it’s spam.”

Lizelle reassured the public, stating, “There’s nothing to worry about. If there’s anything, the police will look into it. I don’t know why it’s linked to this (death threats). Maybe the media has misinterpreted. It may be for someone else, and they must have clubbed things with others.”

She further noted that the spam emails likely reached multiple recipients, which may have led to the misunderstanding reported by the media. Lizelle emphasized that authorities are investigating and that there is no immediate cause for concern.

Rajpal Yadav files FIR for real threat

In contrast to Lizelle’s comments regarding Remo D’Souza, a separate report from ANI revealed that Rajpal Yadav had indeed received a genuine death threat. On December 14, 2024, he received a threatening email allegedly from an individual named Vishnu, which threatened harm to Yadav and his family.

In response to this threat, Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, filed an FIR with the Amboli Police Station on December 17, 2024. The police have registered the case under Section 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (Indian Penal Code).

While the reports of death threats created a stir, it’s important to distinguish between the spam emails received by Remo D’Souza’s family and the legitimate threat faced by Rajpal Yadav. The situation highlights the need for clarity in reporting and the importance of addressing genuine concerns through appropriate channels.
