Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter Esha Verma issues FIRST video statement; says, “They chose to abandon me, pick on my insecurities”

Anupamaa fame Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter, Esha Verma, has accused her of having an affair with her father, Ashwin K. Verma. Also, her being physically and mentally abusive toward her mother. She shared her story and revealed how tough it has been for her as a child to face such traumas in life.

Now, Esha has finally accused her father and Rupali as she released her first video statement. In the 13-minute video, she talked about her life struggle dealing with her parent’s separation because of his father having an affair and the mistreatment that her mother has faced all her life because of Rupali.

In the clip, Esha expressed, “I may be 26 now, but the pain and memories still stick, affecting both my future and present. Through all of this, I have had to stand up against my bullies. It wasn’t just me who was hurt; my mother was, too. They didn’t acknowledge me. They chose to abandon me, criticise me, and pick on my insecurities. They never apologised to me, either publicly or personally. What hurt the most was my own father’s response—he chose to mock mental health. He didn’t shield me from the harsh comments I faced, nor did he protect me throughout my life.”

Esha also emphasised the fact that it all started with her and she still stands by the post that she made back in 2020. After her post resurfaced on social media, she has received several negative comments. Speaking about Rupali, she said, “It hurts, especially when you have built your career out of lies and hurting someone else. And you don’t feel guilty about it. I didn’t expect any response or any return. Not taking accountability for your actions and ignoring it like nothing happened. That’s your response to me for the last 24 years of my life.”

Esha also stated that she does not have a PR team and all that she has remarked is her own way of telling the story to the world on social media. She also issued an apology in the video to her half-brother Rudrash and added, “I apologise if I hurt someone, especially my little brother. I didn’t intend anything like that to happen and I have so much love for you. I hope Papa is the dad to you; he couldn’t be for me and my sister. But the thing is that I had a different experience. We all grew up as single children; we don’t even have a photo together to this day. That was our father’s responsibility to bring us three together.”

In her concluding statement, she gave a message to her father Ashwin K Verma and said, “A message to my papa. I am sorry this has to go this far but you never apologised to me ever. Nor did you listen; you always shut me down and I always felt unsafe around her (Rupali). I tried to open up to you and you never took my side.” She went on to say, “You still told mom you loved her. Even after all of this. Why did you lie to us? This wasn’t for revenge. This was for a daughter to stand up for herself.”

Esha Verma is Ashwin K. Verma and Sapna K. Verma’s biological daughter. She is 26 years old and lives in the USA, New Jersey. Her parents got married in 1997. Her father Ashwin was married twice before tying the knot to Rupali Ganguly in 2013. Rupali and Ashwin have a son named Rudransh.
