Sara Khan: Eid 2020 is different but very special for me

Sara Khan who been a part of shows like ‘Bigg Boss’, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, and ‘Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ among others and every year, she has been celebrating Eid either on the sets of her shows or with her friends and family. This year, however, things are different. She says this year Eid celebrations will be different because of the ongoing lockdown, but it will remain special as always.

She said, “Celebrations are the feeling and when you are all happy, all excited, all in thoughts of enjoying, then nothing can stop you from celebrating. Just the way and style might differ. During the lockdown, we can’t go or invite people, but still, we can share greetings. We can feel the presence virtually. This time I’m going to be meeting my entire family and friends across the globe, but through a video call. Interestingly this will have all total different fun and 2020 Eid will be a special memory to be shared.”

Talking ahead she mentioned, “I remember how my friends use to be excited, for eid food every year. I always held a grand iftar party at home, but this time that’s obviously not happening. This is the first Eid where I didn’t work towards finding the Eid dress. So, I’m going to wear what I have in my wardrobe. I’m also going to cook sheer khurma, dahi vadas, and of course since it’s Meethi Eid, I’ll be making Muzafir. Muzafir is this authentic dish that I learned from my dadi.”

TV actress Sara Khan played her first lead role as Sadhna in the television show ‘Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai’ in 2007. Since then she has grown on to become a hugely popular name. Let’s hope she gets to remember this Eid for the rest of her life for the uniqueness of the lockdown.
