Shaheer Sheikh announces his baby girl’s name as he says ‘blessed with the gift of life’; Meet Anaya

Actor Shaheer Sheikh and his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor embraced parenthood for the first time as they welcomed a little princess into their lives on September 10. After her arrival, neither Shaheer nor his wife shared any updates on social media regarding their daughter. There was no announcement of their baby’s arrival as well, until now! That’s right! On Monday, Shaheer took to his Instagram account and dropped a lovely picture of the time when Ruchikaa was in her final trimester. Sharing this throwback picture, Shaheer even revealed the name of his baby girl. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Anaya.

The picture is from her baby shower where we see both Shaheer and Ruchikaa chilling on a cute shell looking sofa. He captioned the picture with, “Blessed with the gift of life. Filled with immense gratitude… need all your love and good wishes for the journey ahead. Keep us in your prayers #Anaya” As soon as he dropped the picture, Sourabh Raj Jain, Kushal Tandon, Vatsal Seth, Arjit Taneja, Vishal Singh and more dropped heart emojis while congratulating them!

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Shaheer expressed his excitement after becoming a father. He said, “What do I tell you? I can’t even express it in words honestly. It is something else. I thought I have lived a few years on this planet and have experienced a lot of emotions. But when I held my little one in my arms, I can’t describe it – it was something else. I have never ever felt anything close to that, and it took almost three days to sink in. Whenever I look at her, I feel overwhelmed.”

He further added, “There is this crazy range of emotions going through me which I don’t even understand. So it took me a lot of time because I was running around, a lot was happening. It didn’t sink in and I was not understanding the whole thing. I was just trying to make sure everything is ok, we are doing everything right, and my whole concentration was on that. I had no clue what’s happening to me emotionally and mentally.”
