Shaheer Sheikh to cook a ‘special dish’ for wife Ruchikaa Kapoor as they celebrate FIRST Eid post marriage

Shaheer Sheikh and Ruchikaa Kapoor left everyone surprised as they tied the knot in court in November 2020. Since then the two have been enjoying their ‘married life.’ It was only yesterday that the news of Shaheer and Ruchikaa expecting their first child broke out. Now, today, Shaheer Sheikh and Ruchikaa Kapoor are celebrating their first Eid together. And on this special day, Shaheer plans to impress Ruchikaa with his cooking skills. Yes.

In a chat with the Times of India, Shaheer Sheikh opened up about his plans to celebrate Eid. The couple is avoiding having any grand Eid celebrations amid the COVID pandemic. But, they’re going to spend quality time together at home and relish some delicious food. The actor also will talk to his family members on the phone as they reside in Jammu.

Actor Shaheer Sheikh and his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor are not planning to have any grand celebration on Eid today. While this is Shaheer’s first Eid after his marriage to Ruchikaa last year, the actor admitted that these are terrible times and they plan to just spend time together at home, having good food and talking to his parents, who live in Jammu & Kashmir, on phone.

When asked Shaheer Sheikh, if he has planned anything special for Ruchikaa Kapoor on Eid, he said he will cook ‘sheer kurma’ for her. Yes! “Well, I plan to cook a special dish for her. I can’t prepare biryani but I can definitely make sheer khurma for her,” Shaheer told TOI. The actor shared that he has learnt to cook a few simple dishes while living in Mumbai. “Eid will be about doing simple yet special things for my wife and spending quality time with each other and talking to our family in Jammu,” he added.

The actor also revealed that his parents got to see chaand a day before. So, he already sent them Eid greetings a day prior. Shaheer said that he is missing his family dearly, especially on this auspicious occasion of Eid. “These are tough times for all, and we don’t plan to have any celebration at home. I am just hoping for everyone’s safety and praying that the pandemic gets over,” Shaheer concluded.

Meanwhile, Shaheer is all set to be back on screens with Erica Fernandes in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi 3. The duo will return as Dev and Sonakshi, and fans are excited for Devakshi to rule the screens again.
