Shaheer Sheikh to return to TV with Ekta Kapoor’s show; to be paired opposite Eisha Singh?

Shaheer Sheikh has been one of everyone’s favourite. Post Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, he has been busy doing interiors for his new house with Ruchikaa Kapoor. The actor got married during this time and has been enjoying marital bliss. He was last seen in a cameo in the web show Paurashpur. Shaheer reportedly has been approached for a new show by Balaji Telefilms. Ekta Kapoor has been keen on having Shaheer Sheikh play the lead on the show.

According to the buzz, Eisha Singh of Ishq Subhan Allah fame has been roped in to play the female lead. The deets of the story is not yet out but it will be a modern setup, as per sources. Ekta had always been wanting to work with Shaheer. The actor received a lot of adulation for playing Abir in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. YRHPK went off-air in October due to low TRPs post the change in the time slot.

Meanwhile, speaking of Shaheer Sheikh, the actor was dating Ruchikaa for at least two years before the duo took the plunge. Both Shaheer and Ruchikaa opted for simple court marriage in times of pandemic. The duo will reportedly host a grand reception near March where all their industry friends and family will be in attendance.

Speaking about his wedding, Shaheer had reiterated that the lockdown gave the duo the time to introspect and they decided to not delay their wedding any longer. Shaheer and Ruchikaa were seen partying with Ekta Kapoor and the gang recently at the latter’s house. The two were also snapped arriving together for Ekta’s son Ravie Kapoor’s birthday bash.
