‘Naagin 5’ actor Sharad Malhotra tests positive for Covid-19

This might break a million hearts, but popular actor from ‘Naagin 5’ Sharad Malhotra has tested positive for Coronavirus. He is currently in home quarantine. His wife, Ripci Bhatia, however, has tested negative. The actor is showing mild symptoms and is under medical supervision.

Sharad said in his official statement that he is taking all the necessary precautions and he is grateful that his wife tested negative. The actor also said that he is currently in home quarantine and is under strict supervision. He said, “They say if you stay positive good things and people will be drawn to you. Damn! Took this line too seriously. Unfortunately I have tested positive for COVID-19, with mild symptoms and thankfully my wife has tested negative and continues to follow all precautionary measures. I am in home quarantine, under strict medical supervision, so please keep me in your prayers and I promise to bounce back sooner and stronger.”

According to a report by Indian Express, sources close to ‘Naagin 5’ revealed that the cast and crew have been made aware of Sharad’s test results. They all have been asked to isolate themselves. Also, they have been asked to get tests done as soon as possible. The shoot has been stopped for a few days for sanitation and fumigation purpose.

Sharad enjoys a massive fan following and is currently seen as Veer in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller ‘Naagin 5’. We wish him a speedy recovery.
