‘Shilpa Shetty fractured her leg and was at home for 3 months during Indian Police Force shoot,’ reveals Rohit Shetty

Shilpa Shetty is all set to be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force. The trailer of Indian Police Force was released today. At the trailer launch event of Indian Police Force, Shilpa spoke about being a part of the series. On the other hand, Rohit Shetty revealed Shilpa injured herself during Indian Police Force shoot.

Rohit said, “During one sequence she fractured her leg. She was at home for 3 months. I can’t say thanks to me (laughs).” Adding to that, Shilpa said, “It was my first major fall (laughs). I actually made my OTT debut with Amazon Prime years ago in the non-fiction and now I’m doing it again in the fiction. So, I just feel so elated that Rohit thought of me to play Tara Shetty. And my go ahead was literally, once I heard that character is called Tara Shetty… and it was written so beautifully so we’ve literally given an arm and a leg. He had such a bad accident. But what I really loved about playing this part is that it was also so gritty and so real.”

The actress added, “We’ve done action before but this is the first time we have not used a single stunt double and it was Rohit’s conviction that he wanted to keep it. You know, we were playing real life heroes and he wanted to keep it as real as possible. So, big round of applause for his conviction to actually push us and prep us to be ready, to attempt something like that.”

Shilpa went on to add, “It was a huge opportunity for me and I wanted to grab with both hands.  I am so happy to be associated with Indian Police Force. It truly is an ode to our forces.”

Indian Police Force also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. The Rohit Shetty directorial is slated to release on January 19, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.
