Shilpa Shetty returns to Super Dancer 4 amidst Raj Kundra case; Hina Khan shares a special message

Shilpa Shetty, who was judging the reality programme Super Dancer when her husband Raj Kundra was arrested in the pornography case on July 19, has resumed filming for the show. According to a story in the Times of India, she has returned to the set after a three-week absence. There were rumours that Shilpa might be replaced by another celebrity judge, however, this did not materialize. Today is the first day of filming for next week’s episode.

A source from the set further shared that the team had always been keen to get the actor back but she wanted to take her own time. “The makers had been in constant touch with her and only recently she decided that she was ready to make a comeback. Shilpa wants to get back to work not just for her kids and family but also for her own sanity. She was welcomed warmly by the Super Dancer team, which made her quite emotional in the morning,” the source added.

Hina Khan took to her Instagram to show her support to Shilpa Shetty as she is returning to work. She shared a post of Delhi times on her story and wrote, “You Go Girl with a read heart, Huggsss @theshilpashetty”

“Shilpa has judged the show since it started in its first season in 2016. The makers were waiting for her to return and did not want to get another celeb in her place. We are glad that she has resumed shooting. Hopefully, she will continue on the show till the end of this season. It was also an emotional decision for her to gather courage and get back to work after her husband got allegedly involved in the porn apps case. The makers are happy that Shilpa is back shooting today and they did not have to look for a replacement,” the source told TOI.

We saw a series of special guests joining in to fill her place during Shilpa Shetty’s absence from the show. From Karisma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre to Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza, Bollywood celebrities graced the show in the last few weeks.

In the upcoming episode marking Shilpa’s comeback, Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan and other finalists – Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble, Mohd Danish, Nihal Tauro and Shanmukhapriya will also be a part of it.
