EXCLUSIVE: Shiv Thakare gets honest about losing Bigg Boss 16 winner trophy to MC Stan

Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss 16’s grand finale took place on Sunday night. MC Stan emerged as the winner of the show. For the uninitiated, MC Stan was competing with bestie Shiv Thakare for the trophy and prize money. Now, it is well-known that Shiv Thakare and MC Stan share an unbreakable bond.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shiv opened up about losing Bigg Boss 16 to bestie MC Stan in the finale.

Shiv said, “Ek banda hai MC joh trophy ke liye khela hi nahi hai. Toh shayad woh uska plus point tha aur mujhe kabhi kabhi lagta hai aap top 2 ya top 5 tak aapka joh hota hai, baaki hota hai naseeb. Aur mein khush isliye hai kyunki woh mera dost hai, aur mandali ka hai (There’s this guy MC who didn’t play for the trophy. So maybe that was his plus point. At times, I felt that till you’re in top 2 or top 5 then your passion is there, but the rest is luck. And I’m happy because he is my friend, a part of Mandali)”

He added, “Hum humesha kehte the ki joh bhi ho mandali mein… Ek hota hai khud hua hota toh khush toh hote but abhi uske baad ek hota hai mandali mein aya bro aur mere dost ko aya jiske saath maine itna waqt bitaya aur joh humesha mere liye bohot acha sochta tha, uss person ke haath mein trophy hai toh mein happy hu (We used to always say that whoever from Mandali… It’s one thing if I would’ve won but he’s from our Mandali and my friend with whom I spent so much time and someone who always thought nice and the trophy was in that person’s hands so I am very happy)”

Shiv went on to add, “Kahi kahi mujhe lagta hai pehli trophy mili, dusri shayad bappa chahte hai ki aur mein bhooka rahu. Thoda junoon aur bade, joh hai mere mein. So, shayad mein aage joh bhi karunga isse double aag mein khelunga (Somewhere I feel that I won the first trophy, maybe the second trophy God wants me to be more hungry. Some more passion, and it’s there in me. So, going forward whatever I do, it’ll be with double passion)”

Apart from talking about losing out Bigg Boss to MC Stan, Shiv also opened up about his friendship with Mandali. For the unversed, the members of Mandali includes Shiv, MC Stan, Sajid Khan, Abdu Rozik, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, and Sumbul Touqeer Khan. They won hearts with their friendship inside the Bigg Boss house. That’s not all! Apart from this, Shiv opened up about his bond with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.
