Shweta Tiwari advises daughter Palak Tiwari NOT to get married: Life mein shaadi karna zaroori nahi hona chahiye

Actor Shweta Tiwari no longer roots for marriage or believes in the institution of marriage. In fact, she even advises her daughter Palak Tiwari not to get married. However, even if she wants to, Shweta wants her daughter to think well before taking the plunge. The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actor also feels that not all relationships should culminate in marriage nor marriage is an important aspect of life. 

Talking to Bombay Times, Shweta said, “I don’t believe in the institution of marriage. In fact, I even tell my daughter not to get married. It’s her life and I don’t dictate to her how to lead it, but I want her to think well before taking the plunge. Just because you are in a relationship, it doesn’t have to culminate into marriage. Life mein shaadi karna bahut zaoori hai aur shaadi ke bina zindagi kaise chalegi yeh nahi hona chahiye. (Marriage is important in life or life will not move without marriage, such things shouldn’t be there)” 

Shweta also spoke about her journey of being a single parent and the criticism she faced for her failed marriages. She said, “A confident woman is often mistaken for being aggressive and arrogant… A lot of people criticise me for two failed marriages. There are many, who are three or four-time divorced, but no one talks about them because they are not in the limelight. People accuse celebrities more. The only support I have ever had is that I never stopped working and I am financially independent…I thank God that I am a working woman.”

The Meri Dad Ki Dulhan actor is a strong and independent woman. She takes care of her children and even manages her work. She will soon be seen portraying a single mother on screen in Main Hoon Aparajita. 

Shweta Tiwari was earlier married to Raja Chaudhary in 1999 and a year later, her daughter Palak Tiwari was born. After she got separated from him in 2007, Shweta got married to Abhinav Kohli and they have a cute son name, Reyansh. However, the marriage ended after reportedly filed a domestic violence complaint against him.
