Shweta Tiwari tests positive for Covid-19; actress shares her health update

The Coronavirus scare is here to stay. The television and the film industry as resumed the shootings and unfortunately despite all the precautions, the number of positive cases have only witnessed a huge rise so far.

Television’s most loved actress Shweta Tiwari is the latest to join the list of Covid-19 positive celebs. The actress will now be quarantining herself till October.

Speaking about her diagnosis, Shweta told Times of India, “Yes, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am drinking lots of hot water essentially and reading a lot. I had symptoms for the first three days. I got tested on September 17. But now I am okay. I have to quarantine myself till October at least. My next test will happen on September 27.”

Not wanting to take any risk, the actress has sent her son Reyansh to live with his father Abhinav Shukla. Further speaking about shooting for her current show ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’, the actress said, “I developed a cough on September 16. Tony and Deeya (makers of ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’) said the sequence of marriage with Varun (Badola) was very important and even otherwise, I felt I should not take any chances. I headed to get myself tested.”

A few days back, Shweta’s co-star Varun Badola’s wife Rajeshwari had tested positive for the deadly virus. Following which, Varun also got tested but thankfully his result was negative.

Both Varun and Shweta are the leading actors in ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’. And now that Shweta has tested positive for Coronavirus, the show’s current track will certainly go for a toss.
