Television couple Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta welcomed their first child, a baby girl on April 15. They named her Anayka. After the baby was born, in an interview with Times of India, Gautam shared the experience of how they managed during the lockdown. He said, “We had taken every precaution during Smriti’s pregnancy, and now the baby is here, we will be very careful”.
In a recent interview with Gautam and Smriti, the couple had told us that they kept themselves away from all the negative news during the lockdown. They had stopped watching news and any dark show and watched the fun and musical stuff as they were having a child.
The new parents have been trying everything with their newborn daughter. Smriti said, “We thought that every time she is crying means she is hungry, now we have figured out that that’s not true. Everything related to child care I thing we are trying to learn and that’s our focus”. Smriti said that motherhood is tough but also beautiful.

She added, “We are writing a show for the web, so we are trying to brush up our skills.”

Earlier, we spoke to Smriti and asked how it feels like having a child amid the pandemic. She said, “There was no much information about pregnant women and coronavirus. That was causing anxiety which is not good at this time. I was trying to keep myself calm.”
