FIRST PICTURE: ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’ actress Smriti Khanna welcomes baby girl; calls her ‘princess’

A while back television actress Smriti Khanna had revealed about her pregnancy. Her fans were super excited about the news. The actress gave birth to a baby girl on 15 April. The ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’ fame actress was keeping her fans updated throughout her pregnancy, now finally the couple has welcomed their bundle of joy.

In an interview with Times of India, Smriti’s husband Gautam Gupta revealed that both mother and the baby are doing perfectly fine, he said, “We stay at Juhu and the hospital is in Khar. We drove alone in the car amidst the lockdown and safely reached the hospital. I am happy that everything is safe and good, especially when the country is going through a lockdown.”

The actress revealed the first picture of her daughter on her Instagram. The caption read, “Our princess has arrived ? 15.04.2020(sic)” In the picture, the parents were all smiles while they held on their dear newborn baby girl.

Having a child amidst this pandemic lockdown can be really scary and Smriti had spoken to us earlier saying that she was panicking before the lockdown came to force, “Gautam, my father, and brother-in-law, everyone was going out to work and I was the only one staying at home. So, I was panicking a lot at that time because they used to come back home meeting lots of people. There was no much information about pregnant women and coronavirus. That was causing anxiety which is not good at this time. I was trying to keep myself calm. When the lockdown happened, I was a little relieved in fact. So in that way, we are in a safer environment now but still, I am thinking of what will happen after April 14,” shared the actress.
