Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah starrer Dahaad trailer released on Wednesday. The trailer of the upcoming crime-drama series looks promising. Sonakshi will be seen playing the role of a cop (Anjali Bhaati). Sonakshi looks fierce as a cop. At the trailer launch of the upcoming series, Sonakshi made an interesting revelation about her character.
Here’s what Sonakshi Sinha said…
The actress shared that she had to learn bike riding to ace this particular role. Reema Kagti, director of Dahaad, added that Sonakshi rode the bike better than her stunt double on the sets. That’s not all, Sonakshi went on to add that she had too much fun while learning the new skill. After completing the shoot of Dahaad, Sonakshi even gifted herself a bike.
Furthermore, Sonakshi shared what made her say yes to the role. She said, “I think I got really lucky with this role. As an actor, very rarely you combine these roles that just hit you, bang in the face that you have to do it. So, this was one such role. I think as a cop it’s very different from the Chulbul Pandey you’re talking about (laughs) Like ma’am said she’s very real, very raw and she knows what she’s doing and she knows what she wants and she’s going to get justice no matter what it takes. She’s that kind of a woman. So, it was really my honour to be able to play this role onscreen.”
Dahaad has been created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, and is directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. The upcoming series is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 12.
For the uninitiated, earlier this year, Dahaad became the first Indian series to premiere at the 2023 edition of the Berlinale International Film Festival.
