Sonali Phogat death: Goa police registers murder case after shocking autopsy findings

BJP leader Sonali Phogat passed away on Tuesday in Goa. According to multiple reports, Sonali was taken to the hospital after she complained of uneasiness. Sonali’s death came as a big shock. Her post mortem report is now going viral on the internet. Sonali’s body had ‘multiple blunt face injuries’, her post mortem report revealed today.

The report said, “There are multiple blunt force injuries over the body. In view of the above, the manner of death is for the investigating officer to ascertain,” via NDTV.

After Sonali was declared dead in Goa, her family questioned initial reports that she passed away due to cardiac arrest. According to the NDTV report, on Thursday, the Goa Police registered a murder case against her personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan and his friend Sukhwinder Wasi, who were with her in Goa. The police is looking into the case.

Sonali is now survived by her daughter Yashodhara. Sonali’s 15-year-old daughter is heartbroken and she demanded an investigation. Earlier, ANI quoted Sonali’s daughter saying, “My mother deserves justice. The case requires proper investigation and the culprits should get strict punishment.”

As revealed by Sonali’s family, she was in Goa for a shoot and was set to return home by Sunday. She was brought to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Anjuna on Tuesday in an unconscious state and doctors declared her dead.

Earlier, several celebrities including Rubina Dilaik, Himanshi Khurana, Eijaz Khan, Vindu Dara Singh, Aly Goni, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and others took to their respective social media handles and paid heartfelt tributes to her.
