EXCLUSIVE: Surbhi Jyoti recalls passing on a suggestive offer: A person said things would have been easier if I dated him

Television actress Surbhi Jyoti’s life story is something you can take inspiration from. She worked in Punjabi film industry, was an RJ and then put her steps into television industry. She rose to fame with her character Zoya Farooqui in popular television series Qubool Hai where she starred opposite actor Karan Singh Grover. Surbhi became a household name with her performances and didn’t look back since then. Today, she enjoys a huge fan base of 8.3m followers on her Instagram handle.

In an exclusive conversation with Surbhi Jyoti for Xtraordinary You on Bollywood Bubble, the Naagin actress opened up on dealing with suggestive comments, facing judgements and a lot more.

When asked if she ever faced any suggestive comments or any inappropriate offers, the diva said, “It has been 10 years and I must have faced every possible thing.” She added, “First of all you should stop being suprised. I am sure this has been happening. That’s why people have guts to ask you the same thing. So, you just can’t be surprised. It has happened before. That’s why the person has that much courage to ask you also. Deny it gracefully because he is coming from some other school of thoughts. I am coming from some other principle background.”

On asked if any suggestive comment had taken her by surprise in the beginning, Surbhi said “yes” adding, “They started saying that things would have been so much easier if you start dating me. So, I said, ‘I would rather have difficult things’. I am very blunt. Of course, I never got any work through that person.”
