Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: After Mayur Vakani, Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide tests COVID positive

After Mayur Vakani aka Sundar of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, now Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide  has tested Covid positive. As per a report in ETimes, Mandar got himself tested and his result has come out today. A source said that Mandar was experiencing mild symptoms of cold since a week, and then he went for the Covid test on the advice of his doctor.

Mandar told the publication that his symptoms of cold had actually gone away but suddenly yesterday he could not smell camphor in puja and felt that he had lost the sense of smell and then got himself tested. He immediately informed the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team that he will not go for shoot until he is perfectly fine. He has isolated himself at home and taking every possible care.

Mandar’s on-screen wife in TMKOC Sonalika Joshi (Mrs Madhavi Bhide) and daughter Palak Sindhwani (Sonu) were shooting with him when he last shot. Mandar also said that he has also told Sonalika and Palak to get themselves tested. “I have an oximeter at home. I am checking my oxygen levels every 3 hours and of course my temperature. But overall, I am fine. I am reading books, watching a lot of TV and taking vitamin pills, you can call it a short holiday for me,” said Mandar.

Sonalika told she’s fine. Palak also said that she is fine and she got her test done and waiting for the result.

Meanwhile, Mayur Vakani’s wife, Hemali Vakani, has confirmed the news of him testing Covid positive. Hemali has also tested Covid positive. Mayur was admitted on March 11 at a hospital in Ahmedabad.
