Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running for the past 13 long years. Yes, TMKOC is among the longest-running shows on Indian Television. The viewers have formed a unique bond with the characters like Jethalal, Tapu, Bhide, Daya Bhabhi among others. However, for the past some years, fans have raised issues with the show’s repetitive content. Yes, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah viewers believe that the show has become boring and has lost its essence.

Recently, a few viewers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah criticised director Malav Rajda about the show’s content. Now, TMKOC’s producer, Asit Kumarr Modi has finally reacted to this criticism by the audience. Denying the claims of repetitive content on TMKOC, Asit Modi requested the fans to understand the team’s situation as they are shooting amid a pandemic. He reacted to this in a recent chat with the Times of India.

He said that anything popular has supporters as well as haters, be it a show or a celebrity. “Honestly, we are shooting during the pandemic, the situation is very bad in the city and we all know that. I am not giving an excuse here, but we face a lot of issues regularly,” Asit ji said.

The producer added that the star cast of TMKOC is huge and they’re like a family. The entire team is giving their cent (100) per cent and to shell out entertaining content for the viewers. “We can’t show a repetitive storyline to the audience because the sitcom has a repeat telecast on the channel and it is also equally loved by people and we will be caught. We can’t afford to do that,” Asit Modi stated squashing the viewer’s complaints.

Lastly, Asit Modi said that the team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah works day in and day out for the audience. The writers of the show work day and night to bring good stories. “We are not repetitive and that’s the only reason the show has sustained in the industry for the last 13 years,” he concluded.
