The second wave of Coronavirus has drastically hit the entertainment industry. In the latest news, it is being revealed that 4 members of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have tested COVID positive. Yes! Kush Shah aka Goli along with three crew members of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have tested positive for COVID.

According to a report in India Today, TMKOC producer Asit Kumarr Modi has confirmed the news of his team members testing COVID positive. On April 9, 110 people took the RT-PCR test on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. And now, out of them, four have been diagnosed with the virus.

Asit Modi, the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah opened up about his teammates testing COVID positive. He also shared how the 15-day curfew in Maharashtra will affect them. Asit ji said that they didn’t think of any possibility of going out for the shoots as the guidelines that came out 3-4 days ago didn’t mention a ban on shooting.

He shared that as per the previous guidelines they had to take everyone’s RT-PCR tests on the set. “So, we got everyone tested and four people tested Covid-positive. But we had already home-quarantined them because while taking the test they were showing some symptoms,” Asit Modi was quoted saying.

The producer added that the team on TMKOC was tested on April 9 (Friday). They have been taking precautions during the shoot. Asit ji said that if anyone was a little ill or sick, then they would ask them to not come for shoots.

“Kush Shah, who plays Goli on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and some production people, are COVID positive. There is no one positive in the main cast. All those who are positive are also home quarantine and everyone else is safe,” revealed Asit Kumar Modi.

The shootings of TV shows, films and advertisements were brought to a standstill yesterday, until May 1 (7 am), owing to the Maharashtra Curfew. Before this, Mandar Chandwadkar, who plays Bhide had been detected with the novel Coronavirus.
