Taraak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi has been at the centre of controversy since Jennifer Mistry accused him of sexual harassment. Even after Jennifer filed an FIR against him, and other actors like Monika Badhoriya and Priya Ahuja also made some shocking allegations, the producer has never spoken about this matter. Finally, the producer opened up about his emotions and the allegations made against him.
Asit Modi opens up on accusations byJennifer Mistry
In a recent interview with IANS, Asit Kummar Modi opened up about his emotions. He expressed, “Emotionally I feel sad. As I consider everyone like my family. And, again I am saying I have never done anything wrong to anyone. I have tried to keep everyone happy because I am giving happiness every day through my show. Hence, I try to keep my team also very happy, and in a nice and positive atmosphere.”
The producer how he is handling the accusations. Asit shared, “Hurdles come in every successful work. And those who pass the hurdles, they only succeed in life. So, we are accepting hurdles and challenges, and whatever is happening in and around us, we are fighting it with a positive mindset. We have never done anything wrong to anyone. We have always kept everyone happy. So, we don’t bother, we are clean and pure by heart.”
This all started earlier when Jennifer revealed that in March 2019 when the TMKOC crew was shooting in Singapore, Asit made her uncomfortable.
Jennifer Mistry demands apology from Asit Modi
Jennifer exclusively told us in an interview, “He is a very passionate man. Unke karan ye joh hai serial hai and mein hu. But the thing is, mein apni taraf se aisa nahi chahti ki unko kuch ho, woh bhagwan ne aur bhi kuch plan kia hoga toh. Abhi bhi mein chahti hu ki woh ek maafi mangle. Itna woh publish kara de ki ‘Jenny bhool chuk maaf karna.’ Aisa karde toh it’s ok. I don’t want to take this further (This serial is because of Asit Kumarr Modi. But the thing is, I don’t want anything bad to happen to him from my end, God has a plan. I only want him to apologize. I want him to say that ‘Jenny, please forgive me for my mistakes’).”
The complaint by Jennifer is filed under IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections 354 and 509 i.e. assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
