Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Production house FINALLY clears the air on reports of Munmun Dutta quitting the show

On Friday, we came across reports of actress Munmun Dutta planning to quit the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC). The actress plays the role of Babita Iyer in the show. Reportedly, Munmun hasn’t reported on the sets of the show since a month. According to the buzz, the actress has not reported on the sets ever since ‘Bhangi’ comment controversy. Thankfully, putting all the rumours to rest, the makers of TMKOC has finally cleared the air about reports of Munmun quitting the show.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s production house, Neela Film Productions Pvt Ltd owned by Asit Kumar Modi has finally reacted to the reports of Munmun not being a part of the show. Rubbishing the rumours the production house told ETimes, “Munmun Dutta continues to remain part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Babita ji. Any rumors about her quitting the show are baseless and incorrect.”

The same report also stated that since no track featuring Munmun is currently going on in the show, hence the actress is not shooting for it. The viewers have always loved Babita ji’s camaraderie with Jethalal on the show. In fact, its one of the major highlight of the show.

Well, now that the production house has clarified that Munmun is still a part of TMKOC, Babita ji’s fans can rejoice.
