Popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is expanding its reach in other regional languages. The makers plan to stream its episode in Marathi by the name Gokuldhachi Duniyadhari and in Telugu by the name Tarak Mama Ayyo Rama. The announcement was made by Neela Film Productions on Wednesday. The dubbed episodes of the show got a great response as soon as it was posted on YouTube. The makers are planning to curate and upload the best moments of the show over the last 12 years. The Marathi channel Gokuldhamchi Duniyadari already has 10 episodes, the Telugu version has around 8 now. TMKOC makers are also planning to launch the show in other regional languages.
Apart from the dubbed episodes, producer and show maker Asit Kumarr Modi recently collaborated with Sony Yay to launch an animated version of Taarak, titled Taarak Mehta Ka Chhota Chashmah. This was their first attempt at expanding their reach. It is perhaps the first time that both the animated series and the original show would be airing on television simultaneously.
About the same, Asit Modi told Indian Express, “For a very long time, we wanted to jump into animation. This is for the first time that a show and its animated version will be airing together at the same time on television. I am so glad that the team could pull this off even amid such unprecedented times. Everyone has worked really hard on Taarak Mehta Ka Chhota Chashmah. We have tried to make every character look sweet and relatable, so that people feel they are reliving their own lives through the show.”

Meanwhile, amid strict curfew announced in Maharashtra, shows are planning to shift their shooting base for the next 15 days. While Zee Tv’s Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya are moving to Goa, Star Plus shows Imlie and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’s shoot will move to Hyderabad. Rajan Shahi is yet to take a call on the same for now.
