Jennifer Bansiwal REVEALS more details of sexual harassment by Asit Kumarr Modi

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal recently quit her show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She played the character of Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi for 15 years. After her exit, the actress has accused the producer of the show Asit Kumarr Modi of mental and sexual harassment. She also accused the show’s project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj and said that they  behaved rudely with her. 

The producer Asit Modi denied all allegations against him and said that he will take legal action against the actress.

She spoke to a news channel and spilled details about the incident that led to her taking this step. She claimed that she had filed a case of sexual harassment against producer Asit Modi. According to the actress, Asit made her feel uncomfortable at times. Explaining further, Jennifer said, “From the beginning, Asit ji used to say ‘You are looking very nice.’ He once asked me what do you drink to which I boldly said whiskey. After this, he repeatedly asked me to come and drink whiskey with him. Although it was jokingly, however, things changed in 2019 when our entire team went to Singapore. During the trip, Asit asked me to come and drink whiskey in his room. I was surprised to hear this from him. Then a day later he said, ‘You are looking very beautiful, I feel like holding and kissing you. Hearing this, I trembled in fear.”

The actress said she talked to her colleagues when this happened. Explaining what followed later, she said “I told two of my colleagues about this. One slammed Asit Modi while the other tried to protect me in front of him. Once Asit Modi said, ‘If you don’t have a room partner at night, come and drink whiskey in my room. When things did not seem to go his way, he started giving me less screen space,” Jennifer told Aajtak.

Asit ‘s comment on the allegations

Asit Modi said that he will take legal action against Jennifer Bansiwal as she is trying to defame him and the show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He said all her claims are baseless and false.  

Lastly, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj have claimed that Jennifer used to misbehave with everyone on the sets. They had to terminate her contract because of her bad behaviour. They also have registered a complaint against Jennifer.
