The Kapil Sharma Show actress Sumona Chakravarti informs she has tested COVID positive

Sumona Chakravarti, who is popularly known to play the role of Kapil Sharma’s wife on The Kapil Sharma Show has tested COVID positive. The actress took to her Instagram stories to share an update on her health. Sumona Chakravarti informed that she has tested COVID positive but has moderate symptoms. She further revealed that she is quarantined at home. Chakravarti even requested everyone who has come in contact with her to get themselves tested for the virus.

Taking to her Instagram stories, The Kapil Sharma Show fame wrote, “I have tested positive for covid with moderate symptoms. Quarantined at home. Would request anyone who has come in contact with me in the last week to please get yourself tested. Thank you (folded hands icon)(sic).”

Meanwhile, apart from Sumona Chakravarti, several other television celebrities have contracted the virus. Actress Drashti Dhami informed that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Some days back, actor Nakuul Mehta, his wife Jankee and their son Sufi had also contracted the virus. They have now recovered.

Amidst the spike in COVID-19 cases in the city, not only television but several celebrities from the entertainment industry have also contracted the virus. Producer Ekta Kapoor informed in a post on Instagram, on Monday that she has tested positive.

Earlier in the day, John Abraham and his wife even shared their update on testing positive. Prem Chopra, his wife Uma also tested positive and have been hospitalised. Rhea Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Karan Boolani and Anshula Kapoor have also tested positive, off late.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Seema Khan, Amrita Arora, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Alaya F, are amongst the few Bollywood celebrities who contracted the virus recently and have now recovered.
