The Kapil Sharma Show: Chandan Prabhakar CONFIRMS not being a part of the new season, Here’s why

The Kapil Sharma Show is all set to return with its new season. Chandan Prabhakar has played several characters including Chandu the chaiwala on the comedy show. Recently, in the promo, Chandan was also seen among the cast. But now, he has confirmed that he won’t be part of TKSS. Chandan and Kapil have worked together for many years and both share a close bond with each other. We will be missing Chandan. Earlier, Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh had also confirmed that they are not part of the show.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, when Chandan was asked if he’ll be returning to the comedy show, he said, “Yes, I will not be a part of this season of The Kapil Sharma Show and there is no specific reason. I just wanted to take a break”.

For the unversed, Prabhakar started his career as a contestant in the comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007. He was the runner-up. On the Kapil Sharma Show, apart from Chandu the chaiwala, he also played Hawaldaar Harpal Singh, Jhanda Singh, Raju.

Talking about the show, the cast took a break and they traveled to the US and Canada for Kapil Sharma’s comedy tour. The new season will air on Sony Television from September 10. Kapil will play the role of Kappu Sharma. Sumona Chakravarti will play his wife Bindu. Chandan Prabhakar was supposed to play Kappu’s friend Chandan. Kiku Sharda will be playing Gudiya. There are also new additions to the show. Archana Puran Singh, has replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu.
