The Kapil Sharma Show star Sumona Chakravarti shares a hard-hitting post: I’m unemployed, battling endometriosis

Sumona Chakravarti, who became a household name with her stint in The Kapil Sharma Show, shared a hard-hitting note recently. The actress penned an ‘honest post’ on social media, opening up about her struggles. Sumona is not only struggling professionally but is also dealing with a health issue. In an unfiltered post, Sumona Chakravarti revealed that she is ‘jobless’ and is ‘battling endometriosis’ for a decade now.

Sharing a post-workout photo, Sumona mentioned, “Did a proper workout at home after ages. Some days I feel guilty because boredom is a privilege. I may be unemployed and yet can feed my family and myself. That is a privilege. Sometimes I feel guilty. Especially when am feeling low due to pms’in. The mood swings play havoc emotionally.”

“Something I’ve never shared before. I have been battling endometriosis since 2011. Been in stage IV for many years now. A good eating habit, exercise & most importantly no stress is key to my well being. The lockdown has been emotionally hard for me,” she confessed.

The former The Kapil Sharma Show actor further motivated people to take care of themselves. Sumona Chakravarti continued, “Thought ill share my feelings with whoever is reading this to understand that all that glitters is not gold. We are all struggling with something or the other in our lives. We all have our own battles to fight. We’re surrounded by loss, pain, grief, stress, hatred. But all you need is Love, Compassion and Kindness. Then we’ll sail through this storm as well.”

On a concluding note, Sumona shared, “It was way out of my comfort zone. But if this post can bring a smile or inspire in any way to even a handful of souls, then I guess it was all worth it. Much Love.”

As Sumona expressed her personal ordeal and talked about going through a mental health crisis due to the COVID crisis, her fans and friends showered her with strength. Tarana Raja said, “You hang in there darling. I always got you.” Sheetal Thakur wrote, “Sending big hugs su”. Delnaaz Irani also dropped heart emoticons in the comment section.

Apart from The Kapil Sharma Show, Sumona Chakravarti is known for her roles in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Jamai Raja. She played the role of Sarla Gulati or Bhuri in TKSS and was immensely loved by fans.
