The Kapil Sharma Show wrap party: Kapil Sharma performs with wife Ginni Chathrath

The Kapil Sharma show is one of the most popular shows on Indian television. Recently there were reports that the current season will soon go off the air. The news was confirmed by Kapil’s colleague and actor Sumona Chakravarti on Instagram.

The cast of the show, including Kapil Sharma, Sumona Chakravarti, Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda, and Krushna Abhishek recently had a bash to mark the end of the current season. Pictures and videos from the bash are creating a buzz on social media.

Sumona Chakravarti shared a couple of pictures on her Instagram account with a caption that read, “N it’s a WRAP! Phir Milenge ?? ek chote se break ke baad (We will meet again after a short break).”

The Kapil Sharma Show is taking a small break but will soon return with a fresh season. Apart from a month-long USA tour, Kapil Sharma is also busy shooting for yet-to-be-titled Nandita Das’ movie.  He has also been reportedly offered a comedy film by Vipul D Shah.

The last episode of the show hosted the team of Jug Jugg Jeeyo. Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Maniesh Paul were seen promoting their film that is set to release on June 24.

The Kapil Sharma Show will be replaced by a new comedy show titled India’s Laughter Champion. It will be judged by Archana Puran Singh and Shekhar Suman.
